Permission Error in Direct Print
If the direct print service returns a permission error, you can check some of the things mentioned below.
The direct print service runs as a user in Business Central. For on-prem installations, the user is a normal BC user, and in a cloud environment, it is an AAD user, also known as a Microsoft Entra Application.
We have created a permission set for the direct print service called FORNAV DIRPRT SVC. This permission set can be used for both on-prem and in the cloud.
Here is how you can check that in a cloud environment:
- Search for AAD or Microsoft Entra Applications.
- Select the application called Integration with ForNAV Direct Print.
- Make sure it has the permission set.
