Authentication types supported by the designer and direct print
When you run the ForNAV designer or direct print in an on-prem environment, you can select one of the authentication types: Windows, UserName, NavUserPassword, or AccessControlService.
The designer, converter, and direct print do not support AccessControlService. It supports Windows authentication and the authentication types with a username and password.
If you have a service tier that uses an unsupported type of authentication, then you can use a workaround where you install a second service tier. The new service tier can be configured to use a supported authentication.
